Wahoos is awesome. Kids eat free on Thursdays and it's worth braving the crowds. Last week, we celebrated a friend's birthday on the patio. She wanted a casual, family friendly get together so we invited 15 other families to join us on the patio. I called two weeks prior to the night of the get together in hopes of unofficially/officially reserving the patio for our party. Tommy, the GM was gentle in his no. ;) he suggested I arrive early to try to grab tables, but said since Thursday's are so crowded he couldn't reserve tables. I understood & arrived at 5:15 & I had no problem snagging tables. Even with such a large group, our orders were quick & correct, everything tasted fresh, and the staff were pros handling the crowds with ease.

My hubby and I recently moved to the Denver area from San Jose, CA and were excited to see Wahoos here! Finally, we decided to check out this location. I tried the tostadas and they were good. My husband, who is a creature of habit got his usual Chicken tacos on flour tortillas. We've always gotten our tacos on flour tortillas and it was never an issue in Sa Jose. The flour tortillas are huge but the Wahoos in CA always just folded them and made it work. So when he asked for flour tortillas, we were both kinda shocked when the guy said they couldn't make the tacos with flour tortillas. No budging on that either. Hubster asked if they could just fold them and the guy said no, they don't do that. Don't get me wrong, everyone was super friendly. But that seemed like a pretty simple thing. So we ordered a side of flour tortillas and got one single tortilla. My husband had to basically re-make his tacos at the table. I dunno, this complaint probably seems pretty petty. The place was clean and the people there were super nice. But I doubt we'll be back just because we had a simple request that they just wouldn't deal with.

Wild grilled salmon tacos ...yum!! Im so pleased they have wild fish not farmed. Reasonably priced and the salmon is my favorite. I also ordered a grilled wahoo but like the salmon better. I like all the options. I will be back regularly!!

Wahoos employees are always so cheerful, if I were to work fast food I would work here. I absolutely LOVE the paleo plate option, I'm not 100% paleo but it's nice to have a heathy option. The only reason this location doesn't get 5 stars is because of how terrible the entry/exit to the parking area is. It's so crowded with the Starbucks/Chick Fil a traffic, it's just a headache that better engineering or layout could have fixed. Stay clear during early lunch time hours.

This is a very good and nice one. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed our lunch. I had a bowl with cajun chicken, brown rice and black beans. Very tasty and fairly priced. I will be back

I know I shouldn't be too picky when fast-food is involved, but all I wanted was a nice, warm bowl of tortilla soup at Wahoo's. What I ended up with was some colorless, flavorless bowl of chicken broth. It had none of the flavors that I would expect in tortilla soup. The broth was clear, and tasted like chicken (not always a good thing). It had cabbage and carrots, which I thought were weird inclusions in tortilla soup. It wasn't BAD, it just was not worthy of the name Tortilla Soup. It is something that belongs on a Weight Watcher's menu.

My kid's wanted to eat here and I was hesitant as I don't care for fish. I was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of other options despite the name. I loved my tacos and the kids were so happy to have their fish tacos. The guacamole was very fresh and tasty as well, and that's a biggie for me! The staff was very friendly and helped me find options for everyone. We will be back.

I really like this location and the people who work there. The cashier (who i think was the general manager) was extremely helpful with menu items for those with me who didn't know much about wahoo's. Plus i crave the outer reef burrito (black beans and white rice) with shrimp, smothered, with a touch of tapatio sauce on top at least once a month.

Mexican? Not really. Cali-Mex? Yes. I used to enjoy Wahoo's regularly at the Park Meadows location but ever since they changed their fries and their ranch dressing, I rarely have the desire to stop in. My last visit, to this location has me not really sure why even thought it might be a good idea. Healthy, yeah okay... but when I'm buying something that I know is fried, just give me the full fat deal with extra salt. I'm not paying for my health I'm paying for something that tastes good.

We love the food but the service is terrible at Wahoo's in Highlands ranch. They get your orders wrong. They are very slow and not very friendly. We will not go back to this location. They been rude once, got our order wrong another time, and the service is sooooooo slow. Unfriendly female cashier woman about 30-ish, dark hair and skin.

My family is a regular at Wahoo's because of THIS Highlands Ranch location. The staff here are wonderful: kind, helpful, polite, smiling (seem happy), and check-in with you during your meal. I truly have yet to come across, in our many visits, an employee who did not behave in such a sincere manner. Additionally, we really enjoy their food. They offer a good variety, including options within what you select (eg, chicken breast or wild caught fish, for say a taco, can be grilled or cajun). While this is sit down fast food (& yes, I'd agree Cali-mex), it tastes fresh and delicious; the portions are also generous (not overwhelmingly so, but enough to feel satisfied or take a bit home for later). I also like that they have an open soda fountain for self-serve drink and water refills. As a bonus, my kids love Wahoo's food, too. Therefore, I know they'll eat, yet can also look forward to what's going to be on my plate. Good food, great staff.

Food is good. Margarita is good. Several vegetarian options. Still going through the "we just opened" pains. First visit everything was spot on. Second visit the guy taking the order had no clue what was on the menu and managed to mess up everyone's order. Third visit the order taker was great at walking you through the order but my burrito had the wrong beans. Not really a big deal. The food is what I go back for. I am sure they will work the little details out.

I've been here twice since they opened. Once with my husband and once with the kids. (Kids eat free on Thursday nights! :) Both times I had a brown rice plate with Cajun salmon, and sautéed vegetables. The dish was good, as were the sauces. They seem to have lots of healthy menu options as well as regular fish taco type menu. You could easily eat gluten free, dairy free, or vegetarian here. I would go again. They do have alcohol, and outdoor patio seating.

Great food, awesome people. The people that work here really seem like snowboard dudes, totally fit the the theme! They are all happy to be here, happy to help you. Not typical fast food. You have to experience Mikey! This guy needs to be in a Wahoo's Fish Taco commercial.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
